First time out for my new 24L Thermo Box.

23L

90min Mash

Est O.G 1.054
Actual O.G 1.056

4.200Kg Maris Otter
0.450Kg Torrified Wheat
0.168Kg Crystal
0.680Kg Golden Syrup

12g Bramling Cross 90mins
12g WGV. 90mins
20g Challenger 90mins
10g WGV 15mins
Yeast Safale 04

Water treatment 2.5tsp Gypsum,3 tsp D.L.S.

Boiled water+Cambden Tab and weighed in Grain with water treatment the night before to give me a start.
BAD START!
When I checked the water strike temp,noticed hop strainer was missing.
Emptied water,fitted strainer and reheated water then carried on Mash.
After that no probs.Well pleased with my Thermo box

71.5% efficiency,which is 3% better than my first effort.So I,m happy with that.

Just had a peep and everything is looking good, a nice "head" is forming.

Hi Redbloke,
I'm not sure to be honest,I think I came across it on some Internet site somewhere or other.I wrote it down immediately and adjusted it slightly.The main change being Golden Syrup for Invert sugar.
Can't wait to get stuck into it,although I may let it condition for a while.
