As the 2nd and 3rd are coming up to first taste time I though I would get another on the go. This time it’s a Brewfirm Wheat beer.
I like the citrus zingyness of some of the commercial and wanted to try my own. This went mad in the FV for the first 3 days and now on day 5 is dieing down. Looks to bed pretty much finished. Its only 15l kit but at 5.0% it should be nice.
All went well except for spilling my Glucose/water over the kitchen side and it leaving white crystals everywhere.
Bottling tomorrow hopefully then on with the fifth
On with the fourth
No pics sorry,
Few questions though,
After primary fermentation the brew smelt very citrusy (lemons, limes, oranges) is this normal for a wheat beer?
Also there is allot of white froth on the top in the bottles, does this mean anything? All the bitter kits I have done have not had much in the way of 'head' while secondary fermentation is progressing.
