Brewday 12/09/08 - Weissbier

Post by mysterio » Fri Sep 12, 2008 9:52 am

Just mashed this in... doing a single infusion and no decoction this time to see if it makes a difference. Added a little extra munich & caramunich to compensate. Also going to ferment a little warmer, 20C this time instead of 19C. Brewing to take to a party in two weeks time... it's a wheat so it should be ready :? :=P

I have planned to do a Hefe again soon, nice recipe. I really like the WLP300 yeast

Enjoy your brew.

Out of curiosity, why an 11.5gal brew length? Does that fit a standard keg size or something?

10 gallons to split between two kegs, 1.5 gallons to take into account kettle deadspace, hop absorption, etc. Just so I get a full two kegs.
