all done and dusted, rehydrated US-05 x 2 pitched

just short of 50 litres at 1054, pretty much spot on, the hop pellets robbed me of a litre or so, it usually drains down further in the boiler but no worries, smells great

quite a large grain bill for this one

exploiting child labour, yep I'm that lazy..'Stir it faster, boy'

returning the first runnings, couldn't get it clear this time

hops in Craftbrewer packets
Image

flowers for 90 mins, pellets for late additions, 2 x US-05
Image

boil ahoy
Image

just chillin'
Image

aerating nicely as it falls
Image

pellet muck halted by Hopstopper, brilliant

Nice work Garth 8)

Enlighten me - Hopstopper :?: I've got some pellets to use up but always worry about using them.

my version of the Hopstopper, Aleman directed me to some of his instructions on how to make it, mine dosen't look all that pretty but it certainly does the job. My copper manifold did not like pellets at all, run-off was painfully slow till I made this

two pieces of 30cm x30cm stainless mesh, www.inoxia.co.uk/rw/product/product.aspx?ID=137 , cut into circles crimped together at edges

inside, joined to the 90 bend is a T-piece to take liquid off the bottom,

filters pellets like a dream, make one and you'll not look back

Nice brewday!

I'd like to taste that beer....those hops sound excellent and I've never seen them used before.

well, if it's any good I'll do a swap with yer if you like Alasdair?

It'll be in a 500ml Dandelion and Burdock bottle though, they're black and cost a lot less in the post!!
