cheers damfoose, i have been on that site,its got loads of good stuff on it, its just finding one thats got what ive got, may get inpatien just make something up and see how it turns out.....

To be perfectly honest I dont think I have actually brewed anything from any ones recepie since my very first AG brew which was a T.E.A ..... I have just made them all up then brewed them and to be honest they have all tasted great.

id like to brew somthing ive made up, then at least i can name it and say its mine, a brew fresh out of The brass knuckle Brewery
off the top of my head

23l

4 kg morris otter
250g crytal malt
100g amber malt
75g chocolate malt
60g roast barley

50g fuggles
50g bodicia start of boil

20g fuggles last 15 minutes

s-04 yeast.

All depends on the strength of beer you want to brew and the bodicia is a good one for a guinness clone from memory.
Have you got hold of any of the brew programs that are out their. Grahams brew engine is good. I have tried a number of diffrent programs but have settled on Beer Smith not to bad a price when I payed for it , and i use grahams Beer Engine as well. The programs help when working out temps and all the other stuff.

I'd download Graham Wheeler's beer engine and check those figures through. With 100g of bittering hops, even if they're a low AA, you're going to get a very bitter beer!

Worth playing with the Beer Engine software (linky: viewtopic.php?f=16&t=17405&hilit=beer+engine+software ). Just a case of plugging in your AA figures for your hops, along with the other information on there and it'll work out how much grain you need for a specified gravity beer. The default settings for the parameters are pretty much applicable I would have thought so unless you feel the need, they should suffice for your first brewery recipe! Once you've formulated your recipe, you can pop all the information into a thread in the recipes forum for feedback.

Graham's software is excellent through, far better than other online calculators I've used.

i did have beersmith on my pc for a short time, i downloaded it and got a virus! and i had to format my pc, and since them my internet has been cut off and the misses doesnt want to risk a virus on her lap top, il be with out tinternet on my pc for the next two months!

its shocking i know, i have been known to use my bottling bucket as a fermenter, i did have 4 at one point, but then one turned into a HLT,one a collection vesse, and tother bottleing bucket..

defenately need to buy more!
