Jims' Stock Bitter (Congrats to Whirlfloc)

Squeezed a brew in today (Jim's Stock Bitter). Haven't done one in a while with Christmas getting in the way.

I used one of my free Whirlfloc tablets which I got from my last order from Hop and Grape. Blimey, what a difference. I used to use Irish Moss but these are ten times better. I didn't do anything different (apart from the tablet), so I put it down to that. The amount of protein that was left in the trub was staggering, and the wort into the FV was noticeably clearer.

Had my first boil over though :( , caught it just in time before I had frothy wort everywhere.

Glad to see the old recipe still on the go! :=P

I must try whirlfloc one of these days - everyone seems to rave about them.

I used one for the first time in my last brew (again, a freebie from H&G that came with my AG kit).

I noticed a big difference over irish moss. I'll be adding a pack to my next order

I have just cracked open of this and I must say out of the 10 or so AG brews I have done so far this is the best one yet (but thats probably down to the recipe 8) thanks Jim.) Although I think I have over carbonated it a bit.
