Brewing now (Still!) 10.45pm

Brewing Adnams type Best Bitter -

Couldnt find a total recipe so made it up meself :

Pale Malt 4000g
Crystal Malt 238g (thats all I had left lol!)
Roast Barley 60g
Choc Malt 75g

Fuggles 60g 90 Mins
EKG 20g 90 Mins

Using Asda Smart Price water (Now only 13p Folks!) + 4x 5L Morrisons buy one get one free water
Lots o hassle filling up in Asda with 20 bottles of 2L water!

Added 1/2 teaspon of gypsum and Calcium Chloride flakes to mash
Ph looks about right 5.2 ish

Heavy rolling boil in me new Leyland HB Boiler - trick with this is fit the lid - it boils quicker then does the rolling for the full 90 mins - I top up straight from 2L Asda SP water!

Thing is SWMBO turned into Stavros from the Daleks about 3pm and started throwing the toys outta da pram! lol!

So Im banished to the outside from now on - seems to have kept the peace so far and kept the kitchen tidy .....
