I always used to use S-04 due to it being a reliable. Then I used Nottingham and Windsor and found the taste difference quite noticeable. I like Nottingham for the clean flavour, although some say its a bit bland, its down to personal preference I suppose.the red devil wrote:Great Vidio'sI have fly sparged since i started all grain but after seeing this i might give batch a try. Was also interested in your comments about s-04 as that about all i use, maybe i'll try something else. Always good to see how other do things. Cheers

Whats the thermometer you have on the hlt? After seeing your films I'm going to put one on mine.
Its powered by a normal 13 amp plug. The wire simply runs out the back of the fridge from the thermostat to the power socket. I removed the original fridge thermostat and replaced it with the room one you can see in the video. The thermostat is also wired to the fridge so I can drop the temperature if need be. It works surprisingly well. It keeps a constant temperature when running cold or warm.chrisbuck10765 wrote:Great videos well done and congratulations - quick question re. your temperature controlled fermenting fridge. Did you use the fridge's electric supply or a separate supply to thermostat/bulb ? Details of how you did this would be great.
