Mashin' good time!

Brewed an Imperial Pale Ale, or perhaps an IPA. Ingredients included pale ale malt, 35L crystal, 150L crystal, carapils and wheat.
I did some first wort hopping with Summit and Columbus. Total IBU's in the 70 range. Starting gravity 1.060. Yeast = UK-05.
Wort had a very distinctive flavor. No doubt the Columbus/Summit combo.

That looks nice. Nothing quite like a good IPA. I'll be interested to see how that turns out.

Summit is nice. Very smooth bitterness with nice, soft, citrus overtones. Alpha Acid is at 16.3%! The Columbus was 14%!

Here's a nice look at the wort clarity, followed by a short video. This fermentation is producing a very nice, white head.
