This is only my second brew in about 4 months due to the arrival of my first child Amelie. I brewed adm's Wit's End last week and today I gave the recipe from the almanac for OBSST a crack. Stocks were running low:
OB Sam Smiths Tadcaster
OG 1.043, IBU 26.9, ABV 4%, 90 min boil
4025g MO
400g Crystal
23g Fuggles
25g EKG
1350ml Brewlab Yorkshire ale yeast.
21.5L collected @ 1.043

The recipe was from the real ale almanac in the sticky on the recipe forum.

I've heard years ago that they hit the fermenting wort with oxygen a day after fermentation has started. Has anyone else heard this?

How did this turn out then Jake ?
I've still got the Brew lab yeasts in the fridge ready to step-up but they're getting a bit old now, I might get some fresh ones in

Sounds like a means of recreating the effect of dropping the beer during fermentation.
