80L double brewday! Almost error free.

Post by flytact » Sat Mar 13, 2010 11:42 pm

Just finished a double, simultaneous brewday. Made an 80 shilling (recipe below) and the house beer all centennial IPA (recipe here somewhere).
The good: Hit pre and post boil gravities to within 1 point. From heating water to finished clean-up in 5 hrs 10 minutes.
The bad: Nothing, the first brewday without a brewing or equipment hitch in ages!
The ugly: Put the hop tea (discussed on other threads) into the 80 shilling instead of the IPA #-o . So now what do I have?

Oh, well now I get to experiment with Amarillo as a dry hop in the IPA. Lemonade.

80 Shilling
7.07 kg Pale Malt, Maris Otter 76.40 %
0.91 kg Caramel/Crystal Malt - 40L (40.0 SRM) 9.81 %
0.68 kg Munich Malt (9.0 SRM) 7.36 %
0.45 kg Caramel/Crystal Malt -120L (120.0 SRM) 4.90 %
0.14 kg Pale Chocolate (225.0 SRM) 1.53 %
78.64 gm Fuggles [4.50 %] (60 min) 19.7 IBU

At the very least, you'll have beer.....
