Brewed a porter last night and was anxious about the fact that there seemed to be way too much sparge water in the MT. Let it go anyway and continued as per usual. Took a gravity reading as I was transferring to the fermenter and was extremely disappointed at my 70% efficiency. :(

Next thing I notice is a 1kg bag of crystal the other end of the sofa... Yep... should have went in to the MT. Damn!

Anyway, re-updated the data on Beertools and was comforted by the fact that my efficiency was actually 86%. :D

Ran two boilers from one extension lead at the same time.

Lead melted, shorted, and sparked leading to chaos, bedlam and a hastily cobbled together extension from the kitchen.

just had first sneaky taste (I work from home, and it's past midday!) from the FV, and it tastes good!
