Ended up with 22L at 1070. Toped up with 1.7L of water to 1065.

High effieceny down to it being the end of two sacks of malt so the crush would be much finer.

Starter on the Stir Plate and after it was shaken up.

I forgot to decant off the hydrometer sample after tasting it and since I added the starter to the beer it fermented and I ended up with:

I think I am just going to cover it leave it and see if it ferments out.

Looks good. I made a light cream ale with honey yesterday. Hardly any hops. You'd hate it!

Nah. Im not against them they have their place. On a boling summer day a nice light beer goes down well.

I forgot to empty out the hydro sample after drinking and when I arrived back in there it was fermenting. I'll take a photo. haha.

Doesn't conventional wisdom say you have to pre-cook oats? I use porridge oats and just chuck them in the mash, but pinhead oatmeal?

Erm. They were just the oats I put into beer engine, they were just regular tescos porraige oats.

Checked the gravity today. It is down to 1014. I think its nearly done even though there is still a dirty big yeast head on it. Tastes wonderful.

Think it is going to get down to 1012 or so. Hopefully not much lower

Down to 1013, and racked to the secondary and dry hopped with Columbus and Cascade.
