Armadillo 27th Nov 2010

Post by Horatio » Sat Nov 27, 2010 4:59 pm

Got this one done today. It's a regular of mine and this must be the 6th time I've brewed it this year!

Pale Malt (MO): 4.8kg
Crystal Malt: 444g
Torrefied Wheat: 222g

Amarillo (9% AA) 30g for 90 mins
Amarillo (9% AA) 15g for 15 mins
Amarillo (9% AA) 15g at Flame Out (well, at switch off really! )

Yeast: S-04

All went well apart from it taking a long while to boil due to the low temperatures. I decided to put the lid on the boiler and even though I only had 30 litres in a 60 litre boiler, it boiled over and tripped one of the elements out!!! That'll teachme to turn my back on it for 5 minutes!

All went well and hit the target temps and OG; musn't grumble! :D
