Bridestone & Wood Mash Hopped Ale 12/12/2010
Re: Bridestone & Wood Mash Hopped Ale 12/12/2010
First lot of photos.
The Grain Bill with Mash Hops

A small bag of galaxy hops

A block of Jaggery Goor very good for a bit of "Jaggery Pokery" Tastes a bit like a Treacly Sugar Pig

Hops for conventional part of brew with salts, Jaggery, dead yeast as nutrient, protofloc etc etc.

Some yellowy gold extremenely Sticky hoppy smelling fingers.

More Photos to come

I tried the sugar before adding it & it was fine, sugar out of date is not really an issue especially when it gets boiled for 20 mins.NOZ wrote:Looking good matey!

NICE! should be a good one shane!
I used some simcoe in the fermentor a few brews back. I reckon I'll be doing this more often. I got the dry hopped flavour as soon as fermentation was finished! bonus!

I'll be interested how your Sugar Pig turns out, is that like a Sugar Mouse?

Never had a sugar mouse, but I imagine they are one and the same.pdtnc wrote:I'll be interested how your Sugar Pig turns out, is that like a Sugar Mouse?
I ate a bit of the jaggery yesterday, it tasted & smelt good, & no unscheduled trips to the toilet afterwards & a good nights sleep last night so in it went. the smell from the hops in the FV is fantastic.
