AG#3 Ich Weiss Est Nicht

Ich Weiss Est Nicht. (Weizen/Weissbier)

Original Gravity (OG): 1.058 (°P): 14.3
Colour (SRM): 4.1 (EBC): 8.1
Bitterness (IBU): 17.1 (Average)

59.02% Pale Malt 3.6 kg
40.98% Wheat Malt 2.5 kg

2.2 g/L Hersbrucker (2.8% Alpha) @ 60 Minutes (Boil) - 50g total
1.1 g/L Hersbrucker (2.8% Alpha) @ 10 Minutes (Boil) - 25g total

0.2 g/L Irish Moss @ 10 Minutes (Boil) - 5g total

Single step Infusion at 68°C for 90 Minutes. Boil for 60 Minutes

Very nice day - all well - FV safe and tucked up.

What yeast? THAT'S going to be the BIG determiner on flavour!

cool, hope it's a good one. I like to go with 60% wheat malt and WLP300. love those Weiss banana flavours! :D

Oops - forgot to mention that - it was a weiss bier yeast I saved from my first AG - a Brupack Weiss bier grain kit - pretty sure it was a weiss yeast. There was a big banana aroma with that one.

Will try WLP300 in the future - but there's no holding this one it's very active.

A quality test tonight - well its the best one so far. I will deffo be doing this one again.

Good head - refreshing Weiss bier taste. I could very happily just make this one ad infinitum.
