I bought the grain from the Malt Miller in Didcot just down the road for me. Brillaint. Also bought a reboot IPA AG kit for next week end

So the Sierra Nevada Pale Ale kit consists of:
6kg Lager Malt
1kg Pale Crystal Malt
100g Northern Brewer Hops
100g Cascade Hops
1 x 12g US-05 Yeast
And the receipe is:
5.45 kg Lager Malt
0.45 kg Light Caramel/Crystal Malt - 40L
30.00 gm Northern Brewer (60 min)
30.00 gm Cascade (10 min)
70.00 gm Cascade (1 min) Hops 9.7 IBU
1 Pkgs SafAle US-05 Yeast
I use BeerSmith software as it makes a great brewsheet on the day for a fool proof receipe. The brewsheet holds your hand during the whole brewing process, so it can't go wrong... or can it?

Now, it is only my 4th AG brew and I usually buy AG kits with the correct measures for the receipe...
Despite that fool proof brewsheet, I managed to use all the grain supplied in the kit and I totally forgot to weigh it...

Maybe it was because it was early on sunday? Maybe the lack of brewing practice ? Or maybe just the fact that I am stooopid and forgot to read. Oh well.
I have the hops measurements rights, and the end result looks and smells ok!
Anyway, here are a few pics:

Doughing in... no wonder the MT looked full with all that grain

Cascade Hops... I love that smell!

The boil. The pint on the right is a bock beer from a previous brew... 2 years old in fact, great taste!

So the end result smells absolutely gorgeous, it is now in the FV...
Will it taste good despite the grain weights being off? I'll let you know in a few weeks/months...
