Hops are using up some some odds and sods to clear the freezer of multiple bits and bobs.
Mashing at 66ºC.
I'm reduced to dry yeast. My starter of liquid yeast harvested from my previous lager failed, so I'm using 2 packs SafLager S-23. Ferment at 10ºC for 3 weeks, then into the lagering fridge while mrs clogwog and I visit France, Belgium, Germany, and Nederland.

Re: Munich Dunkel
Sure, if you think so. Always happy to oblige.
It's more a case of getting a brew down pronto, to give me 3 weeks left before we get on the big winged silver bird in the sky for our trip to Europe.
I want to transfer it for lagering before we go, so it can sit undisturbed in my brew fridge for the month we are away.
Plus, I don't think I'll be able to physically manage a brew day for a while. I'm going into hospital on Monday for surgery, so that's put paid to golf and all sorts of other fun activities. It'll take all my effort to recuperate before our trip. Being retired is hard work, I tell you.
I'm looking forward to getting into some euro beers which are fresh and on tap, rather than a lot of the tired bottled stuff we get down under!
