Sounds nice! Personally I would've backed off the crystal a bit but then again I like unbalanced beers.

Nottingham/Gervin would probably be better suited to the hop bill. S04 will probably mask a lot of the hops

I'll bow to your better judgment, i was thinking of using US-05 but think that might attenuate a little too much making it a real head cracker!?!

Nottingham would be a good choice although I have made some nice hoppy beers with SO4... especially if you're throwing a load of C hops at it. Not keen on US-05 for the reason you mentioned.

Just checked the beer fridge, Got a pack of Notts and a pack of Gervin, think i'll use the Gervin as the Notts is the same batch that has reportedly been bad...

All tidy and ship shape in the fermenter. This is the biggest hop bill I've used yet but i wasn't expecting the huge mass of hops left over!
Was quite surprised i managed to collect a little over 22 liters tbh!

Just kegged this, this morning
FG: 1.0.14 so an abv of around 6.5%

Trial tasting was very interesting, carn't wait to get a few weeks conditioning on this and some carbonation :D

Great stuff mate! thats a good percentage! Does the beer balance well with the strength or is it too early to tell?

Hi,

The bitterness and residual sweetness seemed quite balanced and the hop flavour wasnt quite as harsh as i was expecting.
The indications are i think its going to be a great pint if your into the AIPA style :)

I bottled up a few bottles of this yesterday to take with me when i went to see beermonsta making false bottoms.
So this was kegged on the 10th of march and its taken me till now to get round to having a proper drink of it and its quite good a lot better from a bottle than from the keg i found.
If you like Punk IPA i this this is definitely worth a try, its no clone but its certainly pointing to the right compass point.
