Got out of bed and thought.....mmmmmmmmmmmmm....let's brew!!

HLT on while I weighed 4KG of MO 200g of cara munich and 150g of wheat.

Mashing at 68C

Yeast will be Gervin

I have the usual suspect in the hop freezer but haven't decided yet. I fancy something sweetish, rich and perhaps citrus.

If you want to contribute to Trucker's (...........) you have about 30 mins before the boil

The brew name develops with the recipe (this is a pretty normal sort of brew day for me

) ...unless I'm doing an old favourite of course.

Cascade unless you have Sorachi Ace

No idea what Sorachi taste's like but did a one hop with it the other day and it was lemon lemon lemon

But Cascade is a favourite at the moment what about Fuggles and Cascade ? and a tad Citra at the end

Boil is now on with about 5 g of Target for a little cheap early bittering, with 30g of Amarillo to follow at 15 mins then another 50g of Amarillo at the end.

Just hit the enter button and your post came up, Paul. Not far away from your thinking really! Went for an old favourite in the end.

Ah Amarillo you can't go wrong with that funnily enough i was thinking along the lines of a one hop Amarillo next big brew enjoy your brew day John lucky sod i'm on nights

We must sort out a local brewers drink. Even if it's only a couple of us in the Wigan area

Yep your right mate Barney's on holiday at moment but soon as he is back we will have to organise it Anvil at Wigan not a bad starting point
