Well its interesting because if you remember I use T58 with this, which in the FV was really spicy - peppery. then when it was bottled there was a distinct split floral and spice flavour. Now its mellowed in the bottle and actually it tastes a little bit like a wheat beer and the flavours have sort of combined. Its pretty yummy. I got some chill haze because I also forgot the copper finings - but considering it was the first time with bertha and there was much guesswork going on - I'm really happy with the results.

to answer your question, I would put more hops in the secondary I think then it would have had more floral nose, but it is super.

and it was low colour MO - which I think is almost lager coloured.....

I was thinking of making some more - using a yeast that doesnt impart too much flavour - go mad with the styrians and then bottle it all. That way I'd have a pale ale for bitter drinkers and I can chill the hell out of it and serve it to the lager boys as well - they wouldnt know the difference.

Either way its a great summer drink

I had the usual experience with this pint tonight CF :?

I seem to get to the last 1/4 of the second corny and the taste of this ale changes completely. It becomes a lot smoother and definately more drinkable 8)

That's 41 days from brewing to perfection....I just wish I could let both corny's get to this stage, but such is demand
