Recipe is
4.9kg pale malt
150g crystal
50g SS Goldings 3.8AA all of boil
40g Fuggles 5.0AA all of boil
20g Goldings 5.5AA last 15min
15g Goldings 5.5AA in hop back
S04 yeast.
Mash will be 3hs+ at 68c and boil 90min. Estimated Eff 70%
OG 1.042 FG 1.011 IBU 35 EBC 12.8
Just to check I’ve got it right here are my figures,
To collect 22l in fv with 12%/hr lost through evaporation and 3l to trub I need 30.5l at start of boil.
2 sparges at 15.25l each, with a dead space of 1l and 5.05l absorbed I need to add 7.3l to the 14l mash and run off. Then just add 15.25l for the second sparge.
