Beaten record

Hey everyone,

I know that this isn't anything special to you lot but got my first sub 5 hour AG brew done today, 4 hours, 48 minutes! It was using my left over grain and hops to make what I hope will be a bitter. All in all I'm happy because this was the first time I felt able to go off and do other things while mashing.

Using my old big winter jacket for something useful, lost 0.4°C in 90 minutes.

Enjoyed a couple treacle stouts while brewing.
Ended up spot on 1.040 which was my target so I'm happy.

Isn't it nicer when you have a relaxing brew day.

PS. I've got the same pot insulation as you

The jacket does an amazing job, the two pictures should have been the other way around but oh well. Yeah it was good having a relaxing brew-night
