Dodgeball ale 29-7-07
Its named after a wee game (just like dodgeball) we played at a family BBQ last weekend. The BBQ put a big dent in the beer stocks and so i had a brewday on the sunday to replenish them.
I was stiff and sore after running about like a lunatic with the kids for a few hours the previous night and the brewday was characterised by lots of oohs and aahs lifting the fermentor and stuff etc about because of all the muscles strains from the previous night.

They didn't distract me from this brew but they might in the near future my brew body on the left is preggers so i could be spending my spare time cleaning up puppy poop instead of brewing.prodigal2 wrote:Hows It going Delboy?
Or have you been distracted by your brew buddies
I'll have to get a few brews on before the wee buggers arrive in the next fortnight.
Are you going to call the litter after hops and malts eg. Challenger, Fuggles, Marris Otter, Torrified Wheat(OK perhaps not that one)?delboy wrote:

A house full of pups is a fun thing, I take it you have a big stash of newspaper to put down on the floor to save on the cleaning

Throwing things at each other whilst drunkdelboy wrote:Its named after a wee game (just like dodgeball) we played at a family BBQ last weekend. The BBQ put a big dent in the beer stocks and so i had a brewday on the sunday to replenish them.

Took a sample from the fermenter, its down from 1044 to 1004
, not exactly what i'd planned.
Must have been a combination of going back to my extended mashing period and my using US-05, which is a beast of yeast at the best of times when it comes to attenuation.
Oh well im sure it'll still get drunk, but its back to the drawing board for my mashing technique for brews like this.
