Amarillo Triple A 02/10/07

Just mashing now:

9lbs Maris Otter
1/2 lb Crystal
1/2lb Flaked Barley
1lb Flaked Maize

1 1/2 oz Amarillo FWH with 3/4 oz Saaz at end of boil ( would have been all Amarillo but I'm using up what I have)

PH 5.2 added. Nottingham Yeast

Should get 5 gallons or thereabouts.

So far so good, must see how the sparge water is getting on.

Just drinking the last of my Amerillo and did the same FW hopping. Turned out a treat with 30 grms dry in secondary.

Just going to order some more, may get chance this weekend to do another batch.

Everything seems to be going well, Irish Moss in ten minutes. Late change of plan though, I will add 4oz of cane sugar and 4 oz of demerara to the FV. Should be a good robust brew.

Sigh of relief, everything went to plan with no disasters or anything else untoward. SG 52: had hoped for a little higher, but hey! Now to make the curry!
