Took a reading today sg 1015, so was my first chance to taste, definitely an improvement on dry yeast, much cleaner taste and even at this stage there is no 'yeasty homebrew' aftertaste.

Having had such great results with aux/isinglass in the last brew (pics soon) I'm going to add aux to the primary this time, leave for 3 days then rack into secondary with isinglass and dry hop.

not possible :)
Kev sounds like you've got it down like a pro! I've got a microbiology degree and I'm still using packet yeast - must get some equipment together sometime and do something about it.

Matt
P.S. what is aux?

Sorry Frothy missed your question first time #-o Aux is Auxiliary finings, usually used as I do prior to isinglass. I seem to get great results and they are both really cheap, I'm racking to the cornie crystal clear and force carbonating this brew. The last one I racked to secondary and added aux then added isinglass and primed in the cornie, the first pint can be cloudy that way.

The brew has been in primary for 9 days now with the addition of Aux for 3 of them, the SG was 1.008. I've racked into secondary and added isinglass and dry hops.

The sample I took is crystal clear after 2hrs, Fantastic stuff :D
