I was actually thinking of Tennent's heavy rather than lager, but aye. I rather expect the recipes for both have been optimised for cost and convenience over the many years they've been in production in such vast quantities, so a pretty simple recipe.

Tennent's Lager gets a bad rap in my view. I wouldn't choose to drink it, but it's a lot less unpleasant than Stella.
