Nice one mate! I hope I won't be too far behind you, (will try to remember check list too) got most of the gear together now, just the cooler to put together and I'll be away!

I like it a lot that that whenever someone pops their AG cherry, all the other brewers gather round and pat them on the back almost like a bunch of women congratulating another woman on the birth of her first child! "Well done love, she's a beautiful looking baby..."

It's a great post natal support group we've got here!

I think I need to get pregnant again....maybe this week if my bits from BB and H&G arrive. First lager on the cards soon....

Great stuff - perfect first brew. I also love the 'length' you went to making that chiller, it's excellent.

Nice one! You've done well building that kit. Like the 22mm pipe instead of 15mm should ensure that you'll never get a stuck sparge

UPDATE - just tasted it - WOW! :D

I tried some after a couple of weeks, and it was ok, but nothing to write home about. I know I was being a little impatient, but was begining to get a little worried, and thought that everyone maybe overrating all grain!

But the pint I've just had (4 weeks after bottling) was fantastic!I really know what everyone has been talking about :D

My second AG should be ready in a couple of weeks (Graham Wheeler's Deuchars IPA) too. Just need more time to get brewing some other recipes to get my cellar well and truly stocked!

Cheers :D
