Thanks chaps, 3-4 week of use is much better than 2. I guess these behave as expected really.

Danbee, when you say you give the keg a blast of CO2, can you regulate how much gas is used from the 16g cylinder? I assumed that they would be single use like the 8g ones.

~FYI I currently use a King keg top tap with S30 and a budget keg, also with the S30. I've also started to bottle some if each brew for keeping.

I use these very same kegs myself along with the Party Star Deluxe Tap, I say from my experience that 2 weeks is what the mini-keg is good for after I have tapped it. I too give it a shot of CO2 after I have drawn of a glass of beer but I find that as the days go by the beer looses its carbonation gradually. Still that said, I like them for their ease of use and the beer does keep very well in them un-tapped I have gone for 6 months and no problems with that.

Cheers

Yes you can regulate the CO2 gas used, it is even possible to remove the tap (when the keg is empty) and use the remainder of the gas on another barrel/keg - but this depends on how fast you are drinking the beer !
