I'd forgotten about that, then he used to get sleepy! You'd have thought he could have got his hands on some grain - and whipped up a quick brew.

My kids are about the right age now for a bit of Camberwick Green, Trumpton and Chigley - "time flies by when you're the driver of a train" etc

I know! the p1$$ head!

It's funny how the stories seem so different when watching them as an adult.
the last one we watched featured dr. mop chasing some road workers around as the whole town thought they were digging up the village green!
hilarious consequences ensued!

I could go on all day about those programs. they seem very twee today, and some of the animation wouldn't cut the mustard these days, come to think of it, no-one would commission programs like that anymore.

happy memories though.

edit: check out http://www.t-web.co.uk/trumpcam.htm if you're a fan.
it's even got song lyrics.

sorry, this OP thread has gone waaayy off tangent :)

I used to love those shows as a child, normally I liked the A-team, He-Man or Transformers - anything with shouting, running around and thumping people, but even my philistine brain copped on to the fact that those shows were quality.
