lol! It really is the hop of the moment isn't it! :D Gave it a little stir today to try and get some more surface contact with the pellet particles. :D

I am thinking a Citra Simcoe combo is on the way!

That had been closing my mind also Rob! I reckon they will be a classic combo! Both have lovely tropical flavours, with the simcoe leaning more to pink grapefruit in my experience! When will you have more simcoe in stock matey?

You won't miss out on the Citra. I am just waiting on delivery of the dried issinglass, to be honest I wasn't going to keep stocking it but a few have asked so it's coming back.

Hi All,
Just brewed this today substituting the same amount of caraplils instead of caramunich to keep a light colour.
Ever wished you hadnt bothered ?.
Started off great getting the amount of liquor required, then into the boiler.
Had a tinker around, thought i had plenty time for hot break to occur, went to check boiler,WRONG, lost about a gallon over the garage floor, never had that before.
Added another 3 ltrs of water and carried the recipe on.
Went to tidy up and found the b--dy boiler hop strainer on the bench,so emptied and re-filled.
It gets better!!
After cooling and let it rest for an hour, decided to clean the mash tun only to get a warm feeling down my leg,yep i,d left the tap open.
Anyway it turned out not bad ,still hit 1.050 for 4 1/2 gallon.
The only issue i have as in Leedsbrews pics there was a hell of a lot of trub?cold break?.never had this before and used the protofloc as normal.
Anything to do with the grain recipe? as i used standard pale malt, wheat malt and carapils, hops were leaf.
I tried filtering twice with muslim but it didnt catch much,
As i type, its in the fermenter with yeast but can see theres a thick layer of this cloudstorm in the bottom .
I am only hoping the yeast will flatten it down once its finished fermenting?
Happy days.
If you tie a piece of buttered toast to a cats back and drop it from a building, it hovers just above the ground rotaing slowly.

It will be totally fine, you should see how much break material we get in a pint of wort sample at work... then compare that to the 3400 Litres in the fermenter, its not a problem.
