I guess that's a compliment. "Wise beyond my years", eh? Yeah right, more likely I sound like a crochety old man.

Well, the owner Derrick texted me last night, "Brett Cream blew a few min ago. Thanks for brewing a great beer."

I thought that was a classy move, and left me with a great feeling about the whole experience. 4 months aging until it went on tap, then gone in about three weeks. That's the beer biz, I guess. Or it means it's time to brew some more!

Really good post that. Funnily enough I usually add my bittering hops right at the start of filling the boil kettle and let them come up to a boil as the wort is spraying in and heating up. I've been doing it like this since I started all grain, I just prefer it to dumping them into a full kettle of boiling wort. Not sure there is a difference but I like to let them heat up slowly. Sub

Bump.

Remember Seymour Brett Cream Ale, my winning homebrew recipe? Well, it's back in production.

Alpha Brewing selects some of their favourite brews to bottle and sell in stores called Indoctrination Series. Always irreverant and satirical, examples so far are Athiest Ale and Doorknocker. My Brett Cream Ale in next up, scaled to 7.0% ABV, poking fun of the popemobile, reimagining it as an ice cream truck. Whatever, I'm just here for the beer. :)

Here's the label art:

Good write up and we'll done, not only getting it into the bar but they thought it worthy of bottles too. :D
