Best brew inside if you can then!

Was it you Wez who did DRB's bramling beauty quite recently? I'm drinking a bramling brew at the moment and it's mighty fine, I was just wondering what the recipe was and what you thought of it?

Caution - long post you'll know what when you read the title

Turned out great, got deep/dull orange notes (sorry not in a descriptive mood), it didn't last long, one bottle has gone into my Christmas Club cupboard (saving one bottle of each of my beers to have on Christmas day) good idea eh!

Good luck mate and enjoy your brewday. First AG is a little daunting, but once you've done it you'll not look back 8)

Oh, and welcome to the dark side!!

Good luck with the brew.

It really is surprisingly simple.

Have a good one FJ.
Remember your not at work and you are doing something enjoyable because you want to!
That should help you thru the process.

Don't mind saying I am a bit nervous about it but you can only read so much before having a go.
Am I right thinking I should give it a stir to try and keep the foaming boil under control, or just stand back and let it happen...whilst taking pictures ....for the insurance!!
When it threatens to overflow beat the crap out of it with a paddle, swear, jump around, whatever it takes to tame it. That's what I did when boiling in a 25L electrim bin.

As I said, adding the hops before it hits full boil will do much to control it.

Just fold the foam/hot break in, as if making a suffle

Delia Smith turn in your bed

And yes I know that's not how you spell suffle

Excellent news FJ. Best of luck to you! Looking forward to hear how it went.

Just to echo what everyone else has already said: relax and don't worry about minor mistakes. The ingredients are pretty resilient about doing their work of turning starch into sugar. They can take some mistreatment and still do a good job.
