loss of hop flavour, sweet flavours etc

I've had that problem too, I was able to take the muslin off and just move the wand around to stop any hops blocking the syphon. But now I just dry hop with pellets or use a hop bag as it was infuriating :o

I'd drink it quick, if it is oxidised then the hops will go first they tend to drop off quick. I once bottled an IPA and my bottling wand had a hole in it, it sucked in air for every bottle. Beer tasted like shite after 8 weeks

If it's just a litre or so you might well be fine

Looking back on this and i think the reason for the problem was that I took the end cap off the autosyphon thus leaving it to be blocked by the muslin bag.

I managed to move 5 litres of starsan through the syphon with the end cap on...

Amazing what you forget at the time!!

Having one of these at the moment and it is lovely.

Not quite as hoppy as I would like it but the pairing works very well indeed.

I will throw in 50g of each next time I brew it.

drinking one of these just now and i'm wondering if i have oxidised it which is leading to the reduced hop flavour.

Only one way to find out and that is to re brew it!

i had no issues syphoning my jaipur clone the other night...
