I ended up bottling a bunch of this, and it's drinking really good that way too.

Tonight I drained the last dregs from the sealed barrel, so I could loan it to my brewer friend Jason. You're supposed to store them wet so they don't dry-out and leak. He's planning to brew a porter this weekend to age in it. Can't wait to taste it, this barrel has some great character.
When you remove the bung, this bad boy still reeks of booze. Amazing. I filtered the last of my beer and set it aside for blending. Yum.
