New setup - first brew!
Re: New setup - first brew!
Flameout 1610, waiting until it hits 80°c before adding next lot of hops. Challenger smelt a bit cheesy, so it is going to be Fuggles instead, with Bobek as the dry hop....
Re: New setup - first brew!
Job done. SG 1045 so pretty close. All wrapped up nice and warm (well, 18°c) in brewfridge #2! A long day, but went smoothly enough. Cheers all!
Re: New setup - first brew!
Congratulations.
Re: New setup - first brew!
36 hours in and no airlock activity. Given the lid of the fermenator is clamped on, and I could smell fermentation, there had to be a leak. There is a corney type hatch in the lid, so I reseated it. Airlock nearly blew out and is now bubbling like mad

Puts my first brew day on my peco boiler (also on the 17th) to shame. Glad your brew day went well too.

6 days in, 1010. Pretty damned close and all around a happy masher in the Manse.
Re: New setup - first brew!
In awe of that set up manse. You drinking all of that 70L yourself? I'm not angling for one, just wondering if you're planning on shifting it commercially?
