It is with lots of help from yourself when I started. But quite liking messing about with recipes now too. Hoppy American ale next time and try see if I can master the corny with it then. Think I'm just going to use up some hops I've got rather than potentially waste a load of fresh ones if it goes wrong.
Re: Brewing this...
Always good to use up hops. And good idea for a trial corny brew.

Got some chinook centennial cascade sitting in freezer. Might give those a dabble. But light on cascade though for dry hopping I think might have some Amarillo left too Citra and possibly simcoe.

Well there's a bloody good beer in the offing with those hops.Bunglebrewsbeer wrote:Got some chinook centennial cascade sitting in freezer. Might give those a dabble. But light on cascade though for dry hopping I think might have some Amarillo left too Citra and possibly simcoe.

Indeed. Makes for better viewing. American Pale next. Getting the stocks up for a party in May. Stout ( in keg on top of fridge in pic ). Today's bitter. And the next one. Should keep the guests suitably merry!! If not it will get me rather smashed.

Thinking of using challenger late in a summer pale, very similar to summer lightning but using target to bitter and challenger for aroma, would this work you reckon?McMullan wrote:I like the look of that too. Not sure. I've never used target. And not really used challenger before today. But they smelt rather amazing. I'll update this when it's good to sup and keep you posted. Someone on here will enlighten you about hops I'm sure.
