The general approach of environmental health is to put down poison. Of course they might serve him with an abatement notice . . . but don't hold your breath.

You could play some UB40 at full volume 'theres a rat in my kitchen' on loop for about an hour when you head out, might work as a subtle hint to the minger next door :D

I spoke with him nicely and asked him if he by any chance seen any rats around and he looked surprised and said no. I told him i was gonna get some traps and he should do the same but he insisted his dog wouldn't let any rats in his garden and when i told him i watched the rat come and go from his garden last night and there wasn't a peep out of the dog he looked defeated and embarassed but i know in my heart and soul he's gonna do nothing, scum bag

AT, I hope your brew day went well.

Re: rats, traps and a air rifle are the way forward. Though with traps you need to keep an eye out for them not springing when they take the baitm and be carefull when setting them as they can break your finger

I can think of better things to do than wait around for a rat to shoot and traps are hit and miss. At least the rat will probably drag itself back to its nest round your neighbours and save you the bother of having to dispose of it.
Yea i think that's the way forward DaaB, plus when he drags his dying ass home he might tell his mates not to mess with yer man next door 8)
