Had a couple at the spoons last night. Had that lovely fruity american hop flavour without being very bitter. Best beer there imo.

Thanks lads. I actually tried a pint myself on Saturday. I thought it was a little thin and more evenly balanced rather than bitter like the original, but quite tasty. It is sorely missing the dry hop addition that the homebrew version had IMO.

I was a little hungover, so that probably hampered my taste buds a bit, and the way they served it at JDW knocked absolutely every last little bit of CO2 out of the beer which did it no favours. My local is getting in a cask in a few weeks, so will give it another shot then.

Let me know when they do and I'll pop over and try a pint.

This is great - real honour as a home brewer....although maybe a little unfair you dont get anything out of it apart from the honour...!
Its on my local wetherspoons 'coming soon' list on 'It's YourRond!' so have set an alert for it to email me when it comes on - its only across the road from my work! ;-)
It sounds right up my street, shame it wasnt dry hopped but i understand the reasoning. Are you allow to share the complete recipe and schedule with us or is it secret? ;-)

I tend to avoid my local 'spoons as it's pretty horrible, so it was a quick mission last night. Worth it though, cracking pint! Well done Bosium!

I had a pint in my local Wetherspoons before their festival started. I was really impressed.

Hi lads - for those living in or around Essex, the Heybridge Inn (unsurprisingly, in Heybridge - next to Maldon) has a firkin of AYPA on that Sean @ Roosters sent down for me, dry hopped heavily with 2010 cascades. I had a pint over lunch and I have to say it was delicious, if I do say so myself :)

Ha ha! nice one, I used to work for Ian Fozard in his bar in Guiseley. Wonder what the chances of a job at the brewery are? :D :D
