Mash on!
This is my first brew using first gold hops, the recipe is :

3.5kg MO
0.3kg Crystal

15g Target 9%aa (full boil)
20g First Gold 7.5%aa (full boil)

20g First Gold 7.5%aa (20mins)
10g First Gold 7.5%aa (2mins)
10g First Gold 7.5%aa (dry hop)

Mash 90mins at 66celcius
yeast Safale04

I recently planted a first gold hop plant in the back garden, so i'm hoping i like the flavour!
From what i've read i think i will. :)

Hope it's a good one! If it's like the Badger brewery version, sold in dumpy brown bottles, think it's called First Gold? then should be a good one.

Thanks guys,
All going to plan so far.
Just started boiling now, lovely afternoon to be out in the garden. 8)
Got to pop to sainburys for some bleach for my fermenter so may pick up a bottle of badger first gold.
I'm sure i've had it before and think i liked it, but can't for the life of me remember what it tasted like!
i may have had a few other beers that night.

How did it turn out? I had a bottle of Badger First Gold last night and was impressed. Very refreshing and clean tasting, (though that might be relative to the 2 pints of my Wherry I'd just drunk  ).
