Got a sneaky brew in this morning, hour mash and boil so no time for piccies or posting throughout the brew. All cleaned up and 24l sitting happily in the fermenter by 2.15pm, pretty smooth overall with no mishaps 8). Now time for a beer

Vaguely similar malt and hops to the Landlord clone, except blonde and more floral, so I guess that makes it a...

Got started about 7.30am so not much shorter than your standard brewday really, just earlier. Next time I'll go for something more adventurous, been doing a lot of 'golden ales' recently. Trouble is they go down so well... :D

I'm notoriously bad at following up on posts so here's a go at putting that right. I had the first bottle of this on Wednesday night (to make space for kegging the 1880 bitter, honest) and this is what I found...

It poured crystal clear, but the aroma was mainly yeasty with little in the way of hops. There was good mouthfeel but it definitely felt over-carbonated. There was a light maltiness and good strong bitterness in the mouth but little in terms of hop flavour save a mellow spicyness, probaby from the challenger. I shook some of the carbonation out and it began to drink better with a slightly more pronounced hop flavour but not much. The finish was nice but where have all the hops gone? :?

I'll give it another couple of weeks and hopefully it will have matured some more. And I guess there's always the option of dry-hopping the keg. Probably with something powerful at this rate!

It looks exactly like the kind of pint I enjoy.

Will/can the hoppiness kick in with further conditioning, or will the yeastiness just subside to reveal the hops?
