Hello one and all, today I did Seveneers Hefe as per his first post

Scaled for 18L achieved nearly 19L
2.2Kg Pale malt
2.2kg Wheat malt

41grms Hersbrucker 2.3% AA full boil 90 mins 14IBU
9grms Hersbrucker 10 mins along with yeast vit

Yeast Brewferm Blanche

OG 1,047

I made up a DFS with a litre of boiled wort. I did not treat my water in any way with this as I did not know if it would be appropriate.

Its currently Fermenting at 21C though I may go for a higher temp as I want to go for the Banana type flavour.

Out of interest does anyone know what the expected attenuation from the Blanche is?

I am looking forward to this, as I like the style and I am hoping this will keep the SWMBO away from some of my ales. Can but wish, we have already gone through half of the mild.

Hi Phil,

Beeralchemy has the Brewferm yeast attenuation @ 75%.

Hope it turns out well.

p.s. Challenger brew is drinking nicely 8)

I have had a quick look in the FV. Great head of yeast and the smell of Hefe. The wife mentioned something about getting some more wheat malt in as she sees this beer having a short life in the cellar

I got this bottled yesterday it dropped to FG 1,010. I will say this brewferm blanche, took its merry old time. But it tastes great so I am so over it 8)

If memory serves I think Mysterio had a slow one too, what counts is it tastes good 8) And the hops read in its green state better than commercial versions.
