Would you believe in the past 5 years I've been mashing I've not once bothered to use finings. Well last week I barrelled some strong dark ale I made and found a packet of Beer Brite in my stores. I thought I'd try it. Beer is crystal clear and ready to drink in under 7 days from barrelling. On my second pint now and just going into orbit. How the hell did I ever omit this from my brews?

Does make a difference. I've only just started using the stuff myself. Before if it was cloudy I'd just drink it out of a tankard!!!!

Done 4 pints now and I don't think I'm going to drink anymore. I was flying a Boeing 747 from Frankfurt on my simulator and was just on the final approach to Manchester and hit the chimney tops of some houses. Landed just short of the runway minus a wing and some angry passengers. They're ok though so don't ring 'elf & safety.
