Since my last brewday post was a while ago and I had some new equipment tweaks, I thought it was time to record another brewing session. Then I went a bit mad taking photos...

Yes it is very nice and a cheaper alternative to a conical FV!

Unfortunately, the manufacturer doesn't seem to list them on their website anymore. I got mine through John @ Hop & Grape.

BTW, the stout is now bubbling away (under airlock) in secondary.

Just got around to trying this tonight - only two months maturing in keg! I'd been finishing off the last of a "golden ale" as I always associate drinking stout with the colder months of the year - so just right for this week's weather!

Anyway, absolutely delicious - liquorice, roast and smoky notes - amber malt definitely adds something special. Challenger hops meld in well with the other flavours, perhaps more bitter another time? However, I was only going to try a pint and ended up drinking two - always a good sign. :P I'll probably bottle the second keg to save some for the winter evenings. No point in attempting a feck test as it's as black as Newgate's knocker as my Dad would say. :)
