Double brew day

First up Phils Hefe with a subtle change of hops as I only have Hallertauer Mittelfrueh.

Phils Hefe

Targets:- 60 ltr brew length, OG 1045, IBU 14.5 ish (based on 26% util)

In the tun

7kg Wheat malt
7kg Maris otter
Mashing at 65.5 dec c for 60 min, started 0915 8)
No Ph5.2 or salt additions, Ph around 5.2 ish.

In the copper

143g 2.26%AA Hallertauer Mittlefrueh (90 min)
63g Hallertauer Mittlefrueh (80 deg c 15 min steep)
60 min boil

I'm cutting boil and mash times to 60 min (from 90).
The recipe is based on 65% efficiency which I overshot by some margin last time. With this being a new system I though I'd err on the safe side and go back to the original 65%

More, more. Give us more!!!

That brewing system is so alien to me. Grist bucket on floor filling mash tun? What the hell is that about?

And that looks rather like a bit in your house-doesn't your wifey thing moan about the smell?

I love beer. 8)

Nah, grist bucket is on the floor. If you look at the tubing the HLT is bottom left, the tun above it and the liquor is being pumped into the mash tun

Hops presently steeping 8)
