Got a mash on tonight - sitting tight in the tun whilst I cook dinner :)

3.5kg MO
210g Crystal
450g Wheat Malt

After a bit of deliberation (see the recipes thread! :roll: ) it turns out that my Challenger is indeed 5.6% (after I thought it was 7%....). So (using DaaB's hop calc) :

50g CHALLENGER 5.6% 75min
15g STYRIANS 3.9% 15min
20g STYRIANS 3.9% 2min

Irish Moss 15min
Yeast S04


Just about to start the sparge when the HLT is up to temperature.

All done - 22L @ 1038 tucked up with the S-04. Lost a fair bit to the hops on this one I think.

Post some pictures tomorrow I hope.
