Hello All,

I brewed my first AG batch since I did it for a brief time in 2003.

Here goes with the Recipie ;

4kg Marris Otter
300g Crushed Maize
250g Wheat Malt
100g Caramalt
20g Chocolate Malt, uncrushed, used for colour balance.

Aimed for 20L got 18, nearly 19 at og 1050

2 stage batch sparge, 1 hr at 65.5 deg C

FWH 20g Pioneer / 20g Bobek
10g Pioneer / 10g Bobek after 30 mins
10g Pioneer / 10g Bobek after 75 mins
a further 10g bobek at 'power down'

90 min boil

I was able to take a few pics but not many, was playing Everquest 2 at the same time :)

:?: The Tun drained after the 2nd batch - that looks like a lot of crap in there, I cant remember getting that with continous sparging ?

The Boiler was flinging it in no time, I was quite impressed, only having one element and all that.

Edit : oop - cold break ; should go here but it wont let me..

All that break trub should help the beer drop bright quickly. 8)

Coopers yeast - anyone used before, this one was packed with a Coopers brewmaster selection IPA, the yeast has also been labelled IPA on the back of the pack - but i presume its the coopers house strain. :?:
