just moved to the right place :)

Thought I would document one of my kits, its fixby gold from brupacks:

Hop and grape sent my package overnight so I had to go and collect it in the morning - nobody in!

You can click the pics for bigger versions.

Cleaning my kit before use:

Getting my yeast started - cooled pre boiled water and half a spoon of sugar:

The yeast after about 30 mins:

The tins in hot water to warm up the extract, one at a time as my pot wasn't that big:

Image

Both tins poured into my pot and rinsed with water to get everything out:

Image

My pot holds about 5lt so could have done with something a big bigger, getting about boiling temp now:

Image

had about 2lt of water boiling away and added about 1/2 lt of the boiling extract and threw in the hop bag:

Image

Both going together:

Cooling the extract in the sink:

Removing the hop bag from the pan:

Pouring everything into the FV:

Image

Topped up with water – that’s about 20lt - but topped up to 21.5lt after this pic was taken, also aerated for about 10 mins:

Image

Checking the temp to make sure it was at the correct for the yeast:

Pitching the yeast:

All mixed together with the lid snapped on and left under the kitchen table!

Thanks for viewing cant wait to get into it!

Thanks, no activity yet - but only been a few hours. Cant wait to get this into my cornie too! still sourcing a fridge at the minute. Should stay nice and cool for fermenting in the kitchen, hopefully got salad for the next few days to keep the temp constant!

Just some more pics of fermenting, i didn't have access to the d200 so it doesn't look as impressive as it does looking at it in my kitchen:

This is a quality kit, one of the best I have made :) I've moved on to AG now but if I need a quick brew this is the one I would go for
