Yes, i know it's early (not as early as HH brews himself sometimes though!), but i need to get a brew in early as i'm otherwise engaged later!
Just pre-heating the mash tun now - more to follow.
Oh, BTW, discovered that after insulating my boiler that doing my pre-treatment of water last night (1/2 camden and boil liqor) that the liqor comes up to the boil quicker (45 mins for 25l from cold to the boil), but, not only that, i've just checked the temp just now (12 hours after switching the element off) and the temp has only dropped to 67 degrees. Bit of a brucie bonus!!!!
Right, off we go. More to follw including piccies.

Mmm. let's see, what time is it now? 9:10 am, I am normally getting ready to cool the brew with my cfc by now!
Anyway, waffle over, I hope (and pray!

) that my recipe is to your taste DH & I hope your brewday goes ok.
This bitter & my Lager/Pilsner recipes certainly seem to be popular here recently, Mrs H & myself had a few of each of them last night & they went down a treat!

Hey - i was ready to go for a 5am start, but, unfortunately we had a bit of a rough night with our youngest child (he's 13 months, and right in the middle of a nasty bout of teething!!)
I'm sure you're recipe will be just fine HH - Your inspiration for the recipe (Black Sheep) is one of my fave brews
Cheers!
Dave.

Hope it's going well DH. I've just got my third mash of the weekend underway
For some reason I have a headache this morning. It can't be from drinking too much beer, as I don't have any in - hence the mammoth brewing session
