LOL, your set up is like mine; a good substitute for shiny is silver gaffer tape! What was the recipe?

The recipe is Horden Hillbilly's House Bitter (based on Black Sheep Ale i believe). Look here for the recipe:

Photos (Part 2)

Late hop additions, irish moss and Ic in @ 15 ins to go....
Image

There should have been a photo showing the 'Flame out' addition, but Photobucket is being a pain - so just imagine it please!! (LOL!). So, next up photo wise is:
Starting the runoff from the boiler into the FV
Image
Filling up the FV
Image
Looking good
Image
Hydro shot - got 24L @1.044 - not too shabby! Note the wort is a bit clearer than it looks in the photo - bloody plastic trial jar!
Image
All in the FV, areated and ready to go!
Image

So, a pretty successful day all round really. Thanks to HH for the recipe, looks a good one mate! I've looked in on the brew this morning, and it's already fermenting like the clappers (used an S04 'Flying Starter')

Will keep you updated!
